Aim Research in Merewether are conducting a clinical research study for hypertension.

The clinical research study for people with uncontrolled high blood pressure, aims to find out if an investigational medication can help lower the risk of cardiovascular events, such as heart attack and stroke.

To complete this study, we need volunteer participants. We are looking for volunteers who:

  • Have a diagnosis of high blood pressure and are on stable treatment
  • Have had a cardiovascular event (e.g. heart attack, stroke, heart bypass or stents), or are at high risk of having an event (e.g. diabetes, >70 years of age, current smoker etc). 
  • Have a systolic blood pressure (higher one) of ≥145mmHg

Those who choose to volunteer and meet the eligibility criteria will need to participate for the duration of the trial, visiting our clinic in Merewether regularly during this period for review and to collect their study medication. You will be reimbursed for your time.
