Aim Research in Merewether has been selected to conduct a study evaluating the use of an investigational medication, and its effect on elevated Lipoprotein(a) and cardiovascular events.
Did you know 1 in 5 people have an elevated Lp(a)? This is a strong independent causal Cardiovascular risk factor. It is recommended that Lp(a) is tested at least once during a person’s lifetime.
Lp(a), or lipoprotein(a), is a type of low-density lipoprotein (LDL) that is considered a risk factor for cardiovascular disease. High levels of Lp(a) can contribute to the build-up of plaque in arteries, increasing the risk of heart attacks and strokes. Lp(a) levels are primarily determined by the genes that our parents pass on to us when we are born.
Lp(a) testing is currently not rebated by Medicare however, at Aim Research we are pleased to offer FREE Lp(a) testing to anybody 50yrs+.

- ≥ 50 years old
You will receive travel reimbursement to attend our Merewether clinic.

Once completed and submitted, the form will be automatically sent to CRIO, a secure clinical trial management database held by Aim Research. All patient information received will be kept in a confidential manner, and reviewed by our team of researchers to ascertain eligibility.
