Aim Research in Merewether has been selected to conduct a study investigating the use of medication that may help with pain caused by weight-related osteoarthritis.

The goal of this study is to test whether the study medication, an injectable medication, is superior to a placebo in reducing knee pain due to osteoarthritis in participants who have obesity or are overweight.

To complete this study, we need volunteer participants. We are looking for volunteers who:

1) Have Knee Osteoarthritis.
2) Are > 18 years old.
3) Are overweight or obese.
4) Do NOT have Type 2 Diabetes.

The potential benefits of participating in this study may include weight loss and possible improvement in pain associated with knee osteoarthritis. Participants will be provided with frequent expert medical care including lifestyle management counselling, coaching and support.

Those who choose to volunteer and meet the eligibility criteria will participate in the study for around 80 weeks, visiting our clinic in Merewether up to 24 times during this period for review and to collect their study medication. Physical examinations, blood tests, X-rays, and patient reported questionnaires will be used to track the participant’s safety and progress throughout the study.

If you meet the above criteria and are interested in knowing more, please complete the form below, and one of our Clinical Trial Coordinators will be in contact with you soon.
